Volkl Attiva Luna Women’s Skis with Attiva 3Motion 10.0 Bindings 2011: The Luna is a great ski for an athletic beginner to a solid intermediate level skier. Specifically for women Volkl has made a series of improvements to the sport of skiing in the form of Bio-Logic Technologies, they are taking women's anatomy into account in regards to ski stance, geometry and flex. The Bio-Logic Technologies make skiing easier and safer for women due to reduced stress and strain on the muscles making it easier to maneuver the skis. A more balanced stance, created by raising the toe of the binding reduces the stress on the leg muscles so you can make sure that your still on the slopes to catch the last chair of the day. Most of your energy is expended exiting the turn and rolling the ski over to begin the next turn, as the leg muscles get tired poor form becomes more prevalent which leaves us prone to knee and back injuries from twisting our upper bodies or sitting in the ''back seat'' trying to force the skis to come around. Bio-Logic influences the flex and geometry of the ski to make the transitions between turns easier giving you the ultimate in comfort and control. The Composite Core and women's specific bindings keep the Luna nice and light.
